NASA warns us about a big space rock called FH2 getting close to Earth before a special event called a total solar eclipse.
This asteroid is zooming towards us super fast, like a race car, at 71174 kmph
It will be closest to Earth on April 7, just before the eclipse
but don't worry, it'll be about 3.83 million miles away.
2024 FH2 is part of a group of asteroids called Aten asteroids. They like to hang around Earth a lot.
These Aten asteroids are called "potentially hazardous" because they get so close to Earth's path.
NASA says an asteroid becomes a potential threat if it gets closer than 4.6 million miles and is bigger than 150 meters.
NASA is watching this asteroid and others like a superhero, always ready to protect us.
To keep an eye on asteroids, NASA uses big telescopes on the ground and in space.
They have a cool trick called 'synthetic tracking' to follow small asteroids using high-speed cameras
It's like taking lots of pictures and putting them together to see the asteroid clearly.
